Why do i do this to myself? Everyday I tell myself I'm going to start saving more money and now that school is almost over, I was going to work more as well! But how can I save money if I KEEP GOING ON THESE SHOE WEBSITES lol ! I really can't help it, i love heels!
I wouldn't feel bad if I was actually wearing the shoes I bought, but there is about 1 or 2 pair of shoes in my collection that I have never wore!
Window shopping is fun and all, but sometimes you want the real thing in your closet! But I promise I'm going to stop buying unnecessary shoes this summer! I spend money like I'm NOT a broke college student! lol
Here's some sexy shoes i saw while on Bakers website.
Walgreen is definitely one of my favorite places to shop for
cosmetics and things of that nature. I didn’t plan on going there
today, especially since It was Saturday (no good sales), but I went in a whim. Spending around 12 dollars, i purchases a couple of things that i wanted to try and things that i already loved.
Crème of Nature Argan Oil Intensive Conditioning Treatment: I use this about once a month to let my hair recover from the heat of using the
blow dryer and my flat iron weekly. I leave this on my hair for about an hour
and my hair is so bouncy and shiny afterwards, and it smells good too, which is a plus!
Formula 10.0.6 Deep Down Detox Ultra-Cleansing Mud
Mask: Bright colors attract me. So this
coming in a bright orange tube really got me. I like to use a mud mask every
once in a while to get all the impurities my skin encounters daily out of my pores. I never
tried this but I have it on my face now and it tingles! Lol
Sinful Colors Nail Polish in Neon Melon: The name of the color speaks for itself, Neon
is definitely in right now, and you can definitely include this trend with your
nails. I’m going to get this bright color on my toes when I get my pedicure
Formula 10.0.6 Seriously Shine Free Mattiflying Oil-Free
Moisturizer: I’m always hesitant when buying moisturizers that say “Shine free”
and “matte”, all because the previous ones I have bought left my skin WHITE LOOKING and ASHY lol. But being that I do
have combination skin and it’s about to be summer time, I need an oil control, so
I bought this. It has aloe vera and bamboo in it, and I pretty much love
anything with aloe vera in it, so I guess I’ll give it a try.
That’s it you guys, have any of you used any of these
products, let me know?
BH Cosmetics Warm Palette
Maybelinne Eye Studio Eye Liner in Black
M.A.C studio sculpt concealer
Kiss Brow Pencil
Loreal Voluminous Million Lashes Mascara
Rimmel Extra WOW Lash Mascara
Maybelline The Coloassal Volume Express Waterprof Mascara
I use alot of mascara because 1) I always end up buying falsies the same length as my lashes and 2) I can get as big or as small "Fake Lash Look" as I want to!
I love the name of this lipstick! I had to Google it because it was just a number on the bottom of the lipstick and i wanted to know what it was called. But anyway, this isn't one of the Megalast lipsticks, its the silk finish ones. I honestly bought this at Rite Aid one day when i was looking for a red lipstick ( it looked red in the store). When i went home and tried it on, I realized it was NOT RED lol. I was a little disappointed not because of the lipstick itself, but solely because it was not the color I wanted.
Overall, this is a nice pink lipstick that is not overbearing, It definitely does what it says it does "... provide moist looking lips". I love that I did not have to put a gloss over it and it still gave me the shine i needed. It goes nice with my complexion and its something I could wear in the daytime.
A major plus is, IT WAS ONLY 1 DOLLAR! That's amazing, the color pay off is excellent and I definitely would go back to Rite Aid again and get other colors.
Needless to say, spring is definitely here, however, so is the wind. The wind seems to always dampers my outfit because I do not want to be that girl who's dress flew up in front of everyone walking to class.
I am definitely excited about the upcoming spring and summer months because I cant wait to get dressed and look cute. One of my favorite pieces are bright and comfy tops.
I received many complements when I wore this on Tuesday especially from girls who aren't the typical size 6. I think a lot of bigger girls feel stooped when it comes to wearing the latest trends. But the key is to SEARCH, go to places you don't usually go to, find local boutiques, and just don't give up! I am not one of those people who can go to a store and be in and out, I can be in the mall from noon to nine and have only bought 1 thing, and that's totally fine with me!
Top: DOTS. Jeans: Macys. Shoes: Marshalls
Announcement: I promise that my pictures will get MUCH better in less than 2 weeks. Again I've been using my Iphone and its just not cutting it. Its only 2 more weeks of school left until my junior year at Hampton University is over (thank God!)! So when i come home i will be back in love with my lovely professional camera! I know my sister will be more than willing to take pictures of my outfits! Thanks again loves!!
I have no clue how long I've been wanting this jumper from ASOS. It's like a tease; it hasn't been sold out yet, but my size is NEVER available! Grrr! Maybe God is telling me i'm undeserving of this jumpsuit and i should go head and pick something else.
Hmmm maybe that's what it means, i guess the saying is true "you can look, but don't touch!"
This is a lipstick by Lancome that I have really enjoyed
over the past couple of months. “ Lancome Color Design lipsticks promises to make your lips voluptuously sexy. It
contains soothing and emollient ingredients and offers a soft and supple feel
as you apply.”
The color is a light shimmery pink-mauve that is suitable
for any and every skin tone. The cool thing about it is you can build it up to a
brighter more “out there” lip color if the light sheen isn’t your “cup of tea.”
The color lasts for about 4 hours (for me) so I would
definitely keep it in my purse for touch ups. This is definitely one of my go-to pinks when I
have class in the morning. It’s suitable for day and night.
Pros: pretty color, matches many complexions, from fair to
dark, no strong lipstick smell.
Cons: doesn't last that long.
Overall it’s a great buy, if youre an African American women
that’s afraid of pinks and want to start
off with a more natural pink, I would try The New Pink Sheen by Lancome Color Designs,
you can find it at your local department store cosmetic stands for about 20 dollars.
"you plus me, it equals better math, your boy a good look, but shes my better half, i'm already bossing, im already flossing..." -Fabolous
Am I wrong for wanting my equal? If I’m in school shouldn’t the guy that’s courting me be in school or even better, started something good for himself? If I’m working hard, doing what I have to do for my future, to have the things I need and want, why should I have to settle for a guy who aint doing S H I T with himself? If that’s called being picky so be it!
Like every other girl, I just want the best for myself and my future family. I have old values in life, the guy should be the breadwinner, the women should cook, clean, and fulfill those womanly duties, but how is that possible if I have a degree and my boyfriend is………flipping burgers? Don’t get me wrong, working at a fast food restaurant or anything of that nature is perfectly fine when you’re in school. That means you’re doing what you HAVE to do so later on you can do what you WANT to do.
I also want to add that it’s perfectly fine if you don’t have a degree, however, make sure you have something venturing for yourself that gives you a salary. Bill gates didn’t finish school but he’s one of the richest men in the world, Steve Jobs, Mark Zuckerberg, and many others are prime examples that as long as you have a vision and you aren’t lazy you can do whatever your heart desires.
MATCH MY FLY! I want to be a power couple. Look at Beyonce; can you imagine her with anyone other than Jay Z? No, he matches her fly, she’s the best in her area, he’s the best in his. She owns a couple businesses, he owns a couple businesses. They match each other’s fly! And that’s how things should be.
A couple of my girlfriends and I were talking a few days ago about how guys are intimidated by a black, young, and smart female. Why? What is so intimidating about that, black men need to stop being so afraid of us because having a successful girl is a wonderful thing, wouldn’t a guy love to brag to their boys, “My girl just got her degree at Hampton University, she’s about to start her own business”, and us girls want to do the same, “my man just received his masters at Morehouse college”, an educated black man is a sexy black man in my eyes.
Make-Up is something I do on the side. This is from self learning, no schooling at
all. I am not one of the best artists out there but I know the more I do it, the
more I’ll perfect my craft. So I will be including a lot of faces, myself as
well as others, on here to build my portfolio. My blog is on my business cards
so if people want to see some of the make-up I've done they can visit here. Tell me what you
think about this one.
I think this is a night time look definitely for a date or a night out for drinks with your girls.
Dry lips are very common with everyone. No one wants to be
walking around town with dry crusty lips that makes you not only feel self
conscious but unapproachable as well. Yes there’s a lot of chapsticks and scrubs
that give you temporary fixes but if you want something that lasted for days,
even weeks you definitely need to check out this.
Mark Kay: Satin Lip Mask
This is a scrub that you massage on your lips and leave on
for a couple of minutes. I like to do it when I’m in the shower for many
reasons, (1) so no one catches me with this white stuff on my lips looking like
a crackhead, and (2) because I simply like to multi task.
The awesome thing about this mask is, it contains mini beads
that buff away the rough skin so all you’re left with is soft, smooth kissable
lips rather than with Chap Stick you’re just topping a product on already rough
This stuff also prevents that nasty dry look when you put
matte and bright lipsticks on! I absolutely hate when girls try a bright color
or a red and I see their lips peeling lol!
I really do swear by this product, if you use it twice a
week you will have softer lips all the time. I’ve been using this product on and
off since I was 15 and I love it! It’s the best lip scrub out there!
Find your local Mary Kay consultant and by this product
which also includes the Satin Lip: lip balm for under 20 dollars.
Beyonce's Tumblr truly made my day today! I'm so glad we are able to see personal pictures of her. I think everyone i know believes she's family because we've seen her grow up to become such an amazing women!
I picked a couple of my favorite photos from her tumblr.!!
Heres my 2nd edition of "Wet Kisses Wednesday" I hope you guys enjoy.
Next up on Wet Kisses Wednesday is a color definitely
forward to night time. It’s called “Berry Bling” and it’s from the Covergirl
Queen Collection. Queen collection’s sole purpose is to have cosmetics available
for women of color and this lipstick is definitely flattering to all skin
It’s called “berry bling” because of its rich fuschia color
which also includes little specks of sparkle (what puts the bling in berry bling).
These specks definitely flicker when light hits your lips. This lipstick is
very moisturizing and it stays on for a long time. I wore it to the club and
when I left at 2:00 am, my lipstick was still on!
You can find this lipstick along with other great colors at
your local Wal-Mart or drugstore priced under 6 dollars. This is definitely a
steal for such a pigmented and moisturizing lipstick.
see glitter specks?
Pros: last long, true to color, moisturizing, goes great
with any complexion.
Cons: STAINS your lips, when I took this off this morning,
it stayed on as a lip stain, it was pretty so I kept it, so not that bad of a
Have you tried this color, or want to try one from the Queen
I don’t know about anyone else, but the color of my nails
definitely detects how I feel about my life. The last couple of months I was
choosing dark, plain, ordinary colors to add to my nails solely because … that’s
just how I felt my life was turning into. Things weren’t going the way I would
have liked them to and people were moving in and out of my life like clockwork.
Basically things to me weren’t as constant as they were in the past.
Even though I had people in my life I considered very
important, I knew and others knew it just wasn’t right and plus my nails were
still BLAH. That right there definitely should have been a smoke signal that
this isn’t how your life is supposed to go.
But thankfully, things changed.
It’s a new month, I’m the oldest I ever been in life as well
as the youngest I ever been and RIGHT NOW I can honestly say I’m HAPPY. I’m
happy with the people who have entered my life, stayed in life, and left my life. My schooling is doing well and my relationship with God is even better.
Learning to let go definitely makes you feel like a new
person. I don’t know what it is, but I will hold on to something by the thread
that is SO BAD for me just to say I STILL HAVE IT. I never been alone and one
of my worst fears was being alone. But things aren’t that bad.
I never felt like this, it’s such a great feeling. This is
the first time in many years where I’ve actually put myself first. I mean, from the stress of guys and THEIR
DRAMA, to money management, even my bad days with Hampton, I knew I had to let
all of that go if I wanted to succeed with everything I wanted to do for my
One of the better things that have came out of this new soul
searching is me low key re-launching my
blog, I love to write and I definitely left this blog at a standstill but I promised
myself that I would write on this blog whenever I have the time. This is my
baby and I see so much potential in this.
My love life could be better but hey, everything can’t go
your way. As long as I have a relationship with God everything will be alright.
And for that I can honestly say…. IM HAPPY WITH MYSELF.
What are some things you got rid of to create a HAPPIER you?
